Born and raised in Rowayton, Connecticut, tennis has been woven into Amy Bradley's DNA from the very beginning. As one of seven children in a family where both parents were avid players of racquet sports, Amy was introduced to tennis at the early age of three. It didn’t take long for her to develop a natural talent for the game, excelling as a competitive player throughout her teenage years. Her dedication and skill earned her a full scholarship to play Division I tennis at Tulane University.
From 1980 to 1983, Amy served as a Tennis Teaching Assistant at Tulane, where she also took on the role of assistant director for various tournaments. After her time at Tulane, Amy continued her career as a tennis instructor at several clubs in Connecticut and Atlanta. She served as the Director of Racquet Sports at the Round Hill Country Club in Greenwich, Connecticut, and as the Head Tennis Professional at the Standard Club in Atlanta.
Amy and her husband, Mark Bradley, moved back to Savannah, Georgia, where she became the Head Tennis Professional at the former Sheraton Savannah Resort & Wilmington Island Club, now the Savannah Country Club. For over 39 years, Amy has been a cornerstone of the club’s tennis program, helping it grow and thrive.
Amy is a U.S.P.T.A. Certified Elite Professional, with a career marked by numerous achievements. She has coached multiple U.S.T.A. teams to State and Sectional Tournaments and has played a key role in organizing world-class tennis events. In 1982, she was named the U.S.P.T.A. Metro Conference Champion, and in 1990, she was honored as the U.S.P.T.A. Female Player of the Year. Additionally, she was recognized as the Southern Division winner for her innovative and award-winning Lollipop Tennis Camp, a program designed to teach young players the fundamentals of the game in a fun and engaging way.
Along with her expertise in tennis, Amy is a certified wheelchair and cardio tennis instructor, as well as certified in SPEC Tennis. She is also a Professional Pickleball Registry Certified Pickleball Coach. A passionate advocate for all forms of racquet sports, Amy enjoys playing squash and platform tennis in her spare time.
